Its been a while since I last updated. And as you can see in the pic(taken at Sea World in FL this past weekend), I've grown. Uhm, NO, I am not the 1000lb Manatee!! I've only gained 3-6 lbs.
My spring/summer/fall pants do not fit. I am restricted to skirts so that they can come up to my breast plate. When I do wear pants, its yoga pants. A shopping spree is calling.
I haven't felt any serious kicking or anything. Just lots of stretching and "butterflies."
Here's what's goin on with Baby P. provided by babycenter.com and parentvillage.com
Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long (about the length of a bell pepper) and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead.
His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born.
If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
Unique fingerprints and toe prints are developing. Meconium, your baby's first bowel movement is beginning to collect in the colon. Your baby is actually digesting swallowed amniotic fluid. At this time, fat deposits will appear under your baby's skin. This fat will help your baby to regulate his or her temperature after birth. Circulation of blood is now established and the umbilical cord lengthens and thickens in response to the rapidly growing needs of your baby. The placenta and fetus are now almost equal in size.
