Festivities included temperature measurements, eye openings, and just chilling out :). He just turned 20 minutes old here.

Unfashionably early, but healthy and soooo cute

Baby P decided to poke some membranes last night around 3am. 12 hours later (around 3pm 01/14), Connie went into labor. At 5:43pm, Baby P peaked out his head and politely inquired about wind conditions; well, I'm sure that's what he meant. But, weighing 5 pounds and 3 ounces and stretching to about 18 inches, he will need a very small kite. Initial tests are showing him to be healthy and ready for action :). He is adorable and very cool kid. He moves his legs and arms often, grabs our fingers and opens his eyes.

Getting Bigger!!

So here I am at 27 weeks - obviously a lot BIGGER!!

Baby P is often moving and sometimes kicking. He hasn't told us his name yet, and he knows we are getting anxious to find out.

Here's what babycenter.com says about the baby:
This week, your baby weighs almost 2 pounds (like a head of cauliflower) and is about 14 1/2 inches long with his legs extended. He's sleeping and waking at regular intervals, opening and closing his eyes, and perhaps even sucking his fingers. With more brain tissue developing, your baby's brain is very active now. While his lungs are still immature, they would be capable of functioning — with a lot of medical help — if he were to be born now. Chalk up any tiny rhythmic movements you may be feeling to a case of baby hiccups, which may be common from now on. Each episode usually lasts only a few moments, and they don't bother him, so just relax and enjoy the tickle.

We are really struggling with names (hence the new name poll). We like the names in the poll, but none of them are just perfect yet. So, we need your help. If you think you can come up with some good names for baby P, please post in comments.

We're having a BOY!!!

On Monday, October 6, we found out that we are having a boy!! And, so far so good in terms of length (17.38 cm), size (8 oz.) and structure (human-like). He's right on time.

He is also letting me know that he is there. Ever since we found out he is a boy, I've felt lots and lots of movement. I think he already wants a bigger room.
